1. Registered 8.1.x owners must call for their V8.1 2001 decode key
   • (Registered 8.0.x owners must call for their V8.02 2000 decode key)
2. Click on the desired program name (listed below) to download the update
3. Use pkunzip/winunzip/etc to unzip it (using your decode key) into some temp directory
   • You may copy these files onto a diskette if you wish an installation diskette
4. The production "dot-releases" contain a complete Windows "setup" program, you just run "setup"
   • "betas" contain CDOCw32.exe
5. You may overlay your existing CDOC installation, or install into a new directory

Highlights of changes in v8.1 "new-version" (04feb2001):

• Linux version (OS/2 version only available via webDownload from this page)
• javTree has Horizontal layout to better display large trees
• 123-pass -~oX options to parse, then sort, then report very large sets of inputs
• various minor improvements and bug fixes
  • (including possible GPF for very large C++ programs)

Highlights of changes in v8.03 "beta" (08nov2000):

• if C++ 'Alpha::Beta()' calls 'Gamma()' it will assume 'Alpha::Gamma()' if it exists.
• HTML Listings headers link reports back to '..\' main directory Function Index
• handling of ASM statements within preprocessor macros
• remove extra "instanceName {className::}" identifiers from CREF reports

Highlights of changes in v8.02 "dot-release" (24jan2000):

• W32 (NT/Win9X) version of component programs (CCALL, CLIST, CDEMO, etc)
• 'try' and 'catch' indentation, 'catch' increases complexity metrics
  'throw' statements are action-diagram highlighted with "========" like 'return's
• Significant improvements to the javTree viewer
  • much improved scrollbar handling of large views
  • secure (digitally signed) CAB (MSExplorer) and JAR (NSCommunicator) files
• Significant improvements to the java parsing logic
• header comments/lines included in method metrics for methods within classes
• lots of misc parsing fixes/enhancements
• clearer detection/error message if NT fileHandles<30
• reformated W32 files maintain their CaseSensative names

Highlights of changes in v8.00 (20feb1999):

• 8.01 increases 'catch' complexity, indents 'try,catch' statements
• 8.01 listing '========throw' to highlight throw exits
• 8.01 metrics for java/C++ are by methods instead of just class
• 8.01 header comments/lines counted for methods inside a class
• 8.01 javTree uses digitally-signed COMswbs1.jar and COMswbs1.cab
• 8.00 class inheritence/containment report
• 8.00 improved -~R2 java processing, improved internal class BTrees

Highlights of changes in v7.00 (04apr1997):

• 7.00 HTML reports, javTree graphic tree viewer
• 7.00 total re-write (for improved speed/capacity)
